Badges and Requirements for Guides & Brownies

A trip to a PGL centre will allow your Brownies and Guides to enjoy a range of exciting and challenging outdoor activities, many of which relate to badges awarded by Girlguiding UK - the tables below outline some of the badges towards which our activities can contribute.

Brownie Badges

Holiday badge Attend a Brownie holiday from beginning to end Tick
Holiday advanced badge Spend at least four nights or more away Tick
Skills badge Packing a bag for a weekend away from home Tick 
Camper badge Attending from beginning to end/Taking part in a new activity Tick 
Circus performer badge Learn two circus skills/clown face painting Tick 
Communicator badge Learn to say your name in a language other than your own Tick 
Dancer badge Perform a simple dance to a piece of music you have brought with you Tick 
Sports badge Improve performance, speed strength and skills Tick 
Watersports badge Take part in four sessions of canoeing, sailing, rafting or wind surfing Tick

Circus skills Devil sticks, diabolo, plate spinning Tick 
Outdoor pursuits Abseiling archery canoeing, orienteering, rafting, sailing & skiing Tick 
Sports Know the safety rules. Actively participate in your chosen sport Tick 
Survival Make an emergency shelter. Pack a bag for a day trip to an area unknown to you. Tick 
Go for it! Take your toothbrush A weekend at an activity centre with your unit or a week-long camp in the country Tick
