The ASDAN Activities Award - get accredited!
The ASDAN Activities Award (AAA) leads to a certificate which acknowledges individual achievement, as well as giving credits towards more extensive qualifications offered by ASDAN, some of which carry GCSE and/or AS level equivalence.
A PGL Multi-Activity weekend is the perfect environment for you to gather evidence from your activity experiences.
How does an ASDAN Activities Award with PGL work?
The ASDAN Activities Award with PGL accredits up to 20 hours of mixed activitiy (during a weekend residential). It's based on an exciting programme of adventure with up to 4 sessions of outdoor activities each day, plus an evening programme. At the end of the weekend your PGL co-ordinator will gather your group's workbooks and send them to ASDAN on your behalf for accreditation and subsequent certificates. More information is available at www.asdan.org.uk
Plan - Do - Review
Our staff will contact your youth leader before you arrive to talk through the format of your weekend. You'll get maximum benefit from each activity as, once you are on centre, our staff will meet with you before you get started - this will help you focus and plan for specific aspects of the upcoming activity. Following the session you will review your performance against any objective you had agreed beforehand.
