Leadership Course at PGL

PGL's Leadership Course, like Multi-activity, is based around a full programme of outdoor activities - but on this course the activities are tailored to promote specific leadership skills, such as motivating others, clear communication, decision-making and maintaining positive attitudes to challenges.

How does the Leadership Course work?

The programme includes up to four exciting outdoor adventure activities each day, focussing on leadership challenges. Before the course your youth leader will receive an 'aims and objectives' questionnaire which will help us to identify how best to tailor your course. Our staff will also contact your youth leader before you arrive to talk it all through.

Plan-do-review

On centre, our staff will meet with you before you get started, to help you focus and plan for specific aspects of the upcoming activity. Following each session you will review performance against any objective agreed beforehand. In this way you will get maximum benefit from each of the activities.

Thinking about it and achieving more!

Our staff will help you to recognise and consider reactions and how they deal with unfamiliar situations. You will get a better insight into your strengths and weaknesses and ultimately achieve better outcomes.

What you'll take home

• Ability to motivate others
• Improved self-confidence and self-esteem
• Better ability to interact with other people
• Improved communication and decision-making skills
• A positive attitude to challenges
• Ability to acknowledge the consequences of actions
