Alton Court, PGL Head Office

PGL's head office is based on the outskirts of the small riverside town of Ross-on-Wye. The location is significant, as the local River Wye saw PGL's founder (Peter Gordon Lawrence) launch his very first canoe trips from here in 1957.

With free on-site parking, Alton Court enjoys an enviable location for commuters, being just minutes away from the end of the M50 motorway. Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Worcester, Hereford, Ledbury, Monmouth, Newport and Abergavenny are all less than one hours drive away.

Free tea and coffee is provided in the various kitchens that are dotted around the site. Microwaves are also available if you want to bring in some lunch to heat up. In 2011, a brand new staff social area 'The Threshing Barn' was opened, with free wi-fi, vending machines, computer access, television and more!

Ross-on-Wye town centre is less than ten minutes' walk away and plays host to a range of cafes, coffee shops, pubs, supermarkets and even a fantastic delicatessen. If that's not good enough, we even have a local company who pop in every day with a range of cold and hot food/snacks.

For our more energetic staff who cycle or run into work in the mornings or at lunchtime, we also have a shower on site.
