Loch Ranza
Loch Ranza, on the Isle of Arran is PGL’s specialist Field Studies centre, catering for a wide range of courses including Geography, Geology, Biology and Environmental Science. Ardrossan Harbour, is less than 1 hour by rail from Glasgow and the ferry crossing to Brodick takes approximately 55 minutes. Exciting outdoor activities are also available.
The itinerary depends entirely upon you - once you choose the subjects you want to cover we will put them into a tailor made itinerary for you.

Most groups at Loch Ranza choose to dedicate the vast majority of their time on the island to study. If you wish we can plan adventure activity sessions around your study modules, most activity sessions taking half a day.
