Tonale is one of Italy's highest resorts offering some 80km of high-altitude skiing. The Presena glacier is served by a modern and efficient network of lifts. The skiing here is ideal for school parties offering easy supervision, and a good variety of runs for both beginners and intermediates.
The nursery area, with wide beautiful open pistes is one of the best in Italy, providing quick progression to the longer runs. Advanced skiers will enjoy the challenging 4.5km run of Alano or Il Paradiso, one of the most exhilarating black runs in the region.
