Salzburger Sportwelt

The largest of five regions which make up the most extensive ski area in Europe known as Ski Amadé. The Salzburger Sportwelt alone has 350km of pistes and stretches from Radstadt to St Johann in Pongau encompassing Altenmarkt, Flachau and Wagrain.

With 130 lifts this extensive ski area is largely unknown to British skiers, but offers superb skiing for all levels.

The main access onto the circuit is at Alpendorf where 3 chair-lifts link directly into the system, opening up a huge amount of excellent skiing with a number of blue and red runs leading to Wagrain.

PGL groups accommodated in Wagrain can use the Flying Mozart Lift, which also gives access to the lifts at Flachau. Groups are also accommodated in Hüttau or Eben, all attractive villages with a traditional Austrian atmosphere and easy access to the slopes.

The Oberwimm is a purpose built youth hostel, accommodating around 160 people.

A family-run hotel located 200m from the town centre of Grossarl and only 350m to the gondola accessing the Sportwelt Amadé region.

The Striedlhof is set in its own grounds with beautiful views over the valley below.  It is a short drive to the lifts and the town of Wagrain.

Located between the village of Wagrain and the Höhenbahn lift, the Aicher is an excelllent youth accommodation.

A purpose-built youth hotel just 1.5km from the lifts in Alternmarkt and recently refurbished to a very high standard.

A traditional Austrian-style hotel which has been refurbished to provide excellent facilities for youth groups.

The Jugendgästeparadies Bachlehen and Johanneshof  is set in an excellent location 1km from the centre of Radstadt and within walking distance of the lifts.


Landhotel Almrösl

The 3-star Landhotel and the 4-star Aparthotel Almrösl are located in the picturesque village of Hüttschlag offering beautiful views of the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
