Accommodation - Pension Sestan

Based in the charming hamlet of Šestanovac, just 10km from the Dalmation coast, the small, family-run Pension Sestan comprises several stone buildings containing twin-bedded and four-bedded rooms with shared toilet / shower facilities. There is a large communal room and a pool with a patio area and outdoor BBQ. A second building houses the dining area which seats up to 20 people.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 Depart UK.

Fly to Split and transfer to Šestanovac (approx 1hour).

Day 2 Scenic Walk through rural Dalmatia

The walk starts and ends at your accommodation and takes in the local hamlet of Litrici where you gain an insight into rural Croatian life, visiting the church and one of the houses typical of the area. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon relaxing by the pool back at your accommodation.

Day 3 White Water Canoeing on the Cetina River.

The rapids on this stretch of the Cetina are classed as grade 2-3, which makes them easy to medium in terms of difficulty.

Day 4 Climbing & Town Visit

The morning is spent climbing in the mountains along the Makarska coast. The
afternoon is spent visiting the historic town of Omiš, a one-time pirate stronghold.

Day 5 Canyoning in the Cetina Gorge

Canyoning involves a guided walk, scrambling over rocks, past waterfalls and pools and then paddling down a river gorge. There are plenty of opportunities for getting wet before returning to the accommodation in the afternoon to chill-out by the pool.

Day 6 Free Day

Make the most of your stay with an all-day excursion, e.g. a visit to the ancient town of
Trogir, or spend time relaxing by the pool at your hotel.

Day 7 Sea Kayaking Excursion on the Makarska Riviera

You travel by coach to Jakirusa beach and the start of a sea-kayaking excursion along the Makarska coast. With plenty of opportunities to stop and swim en route, this provides the perfect finale to your Croatian adventure.

Day 8 Return

Transfer to Split for return flight to UK.
