Accommodation - UCPA Hotel Gesium

The UCPA Hotel Gesium is a three star hotel five minutes’ walk from the centre of Hurghada. En suite rooms sleep three and are air-conditioned. The hotel has its own dive centre, a large swimming pool and private beach. The dive centre is expertly run by UCPA, an organisation which specializes in youth and student activity tours. Their expert staff will be your instructors in all activities.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 Depart UK
Fly to Hurghada and transfer to hotel (approx 30 minutes).

Day 2 Snorkelling & Beach Kayaking
Begin your under-water experience by donning fins, mask and snorkel. From the shore or the boat these sessions will familiarise you with the clear waters of the Red Sea. In the afternoon take your beach kayak on a guided trip to explore the local coastline.

Day 3 First Dive & Snorkelling
Your ‘initiation dive’ takes place from the shore outside the dive centre and each person is one-to-one with an instructor. The dive lasts approximately 15 minutes and takes you to a maximum depth of 5-10m. In the afternoon take to the water again in a second snorkelling session.

Day 4 Second Dive & Free time
Your second one-to-one dive goes to a maximum depth of 10m. In the afternoon take a walk into Hurghada and visit the cafés and shops or simply enjoy the hotel facilities and the sunshine!

Day 5 Day Trip & Third Dive
Out on the boat again with a stop at another dive site! Having gained confidence, you will be supervised by your instructor in small groups in the ratio of 1:4.

Day 6 & 7 Excursion (inc. overnight stay)
A two day excursion to Cairo or Luxor takes you to ancient monuments, bringing history to life! Your stay includes overnight hotel accommodation at your chosen destination, returning to Hotel Gesium late in the evening of day 7.

Day 8 Return Home
Transfer to airport for return flight to UK.

Please note:
A medical certificate will be required for all participants and students must be able to swim a minimum of 50m. Additional dives can be arranged for those with previous diving experience or wishing to progress to PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certification.
