Our beginnings

Back in 1957, Peter Gordon Lawrence bought a folding canvas canoe and set off down the Danube. He loved this experience so much he wanted to share it. Returning home, he began leading groups of young adults on canoe camping trips down the River Wye – and PGL was born!
